About the Pilot

CORONADO Sébastien is the pilot of the team FreeWheels 1. He is based in the region of Perpignan. He agreed to be part of the project as a new challenge for him and to help with the research. Sebastien is tetraplegic and very athletic (musculation and hikes). He is followed by Dr. Charles Fattal.

About the Device

Three-wheeled, recumbent bicycle with pedal attachments adapted for SCI users (Hase Special Pedals). Thanks to its semi-recumbent position, this bike is suitable for use by people with spinal cord injury and should optimize the use of the power developed by electrical muscle stimulation. The IMUSEF controller drives the FES Box (Berkel Bike) using inertial sensors.
