CYBATHLON 2024

The CYBATHLON 2024 will take place in a global format from 25 – 27 October 2024 in the Arena Schluefweg in Kloten and in hubs worldwide. More than 100 teams from all around the world in eight different disciplines can participate in the CYBATHLON 2024.

BCI, FES Test Competition Sept 2023

The test competition will take place in September 2023. We are testing the new setup and games of the two disciplines BCI and FES and reviewing the competition management and production processes to be ready for next year's CYBATHLON Challenges.

Lectures Series 2023

The CYBATHLON Lecture and Workshop series offers a platform for the CYBATHLON teams to explore specific topics related to the CYBATHLON disciplines and assistive technology development.

SPORTECH 2023

Sportech offers students, teachers, coaches, managers, athletes or simply the curious the opportunity to discover and explore the applications of scientific and technological research in sports. 5 November 2022 – Swiss Robotics Day

The Swiss Robotics Day is Switzerland’s most comprehensive exhibition on robotics. For the first time, the event will open its doors to the general public for a second day (November 5), establishing itself as a platform to engage with the public and the younger generations.

9 September – Disability Rights Action Day

The Disability Rights Action Days will be held for the first time in the Canton of Zurich from 27 August to 10 September 2022.

We invite you to spend a day around the CYBATHLON with us. Visit us on 9 September 2022 from 10.00 a.m. at the Liebfrauen Parish Centre Zurich.

Challenges May 2022

In May 2022, teams from all over the world will be able to take part in the first CYBATHLON Challenges. The new format allows development teams to test their devices at an early stage and foster collaboration with pilots from the very beginning. The Challenges will be held decentrally at the teams' homes.

Global Edition 2020

The CYBATHLON 2020 Global Edition took place on 13 and 14 November 2020 with 51 teams from 20 countries. Due to the Covid-​19 pandemic, the teams competed in different time zones and locations. The CYBATHLON 2020 Global Edition was live streamed and consisted of the teams races, portraits, talks with experts, and much more.

Global Edition 2016

The first CYBATHLON Edition took place on 8 October 2016 under the umbrella of ETH Zurich in the SWISS Arena in Kloten near Zurich. 66 teams from countries all around the world competed against each other. CYBATHLON grew to be a meaningful event which interactively showcased the interplay between humans and technology.
