Robotic assistance systems in therapy - 3 Lessons
In this module, the exoskeleton is explored in practice. Embedded is the teaching of the technology in a practical environment. In the first part, the students deal with the everyday life of people with paraplegia. In doing so, they work out the principles of two existing therapy robots. In the second part, the students experiment with the elbow exoskeleton Flexo, which was specially developed for CYBATHLON @school. In this way, the students work out how an exoskeleton works and link the newly acquired knowledge with the existing knowledge on anatomy and physiology of the musculoskeletal system as well as pathologies and traumas. In the third part, there is a guided discussion on the ethical aspects.
