This is Cybathlon
In October 2016, ETH Zurich organised the very first Cybathlon. This novel competition provides a platform to facilitate conversation between academia and industry, to facilitate discussion between technology developers and people with disabilities and to promote the use of robotic assistive aids to the public.
Let us show you the obstacles that people with physical disabilities encounter as they go about their everyday lives. The technical assistive systems currently in use are a lot less help than you might imagine. That’s exactly why the courses at the Cybathlon focus on challenges in daily life. By working directly with people with disabilities themselves, we are driving forward the development of technological aids in industry and at universities.
Due to success of the event, the Cybathlon will continue in 2020. Read more.
